Our plane for the flight to Rome turned out to be A319 I-BIMF. The brand-new airplane airplane was delivered to Alitalia just of over two months earlier. The inbound flight arrived at gate B17 at 11:57. Flight AZ109 was boarded by just about 20 passengers. We boarded the flight at 12:25, with push back exactly on time: 12:35. We taxied a short distance to runway 24 and departed at 12:46. Shortly after takeoff we turned left to an approx. 90-degree heading, followed by a right turn to a heading of about 150 degrees. About half an hour into the flight the meals were served, consisting of a.o. chiabatta bread, fruit and a piece of pie.
After an uneventful flight we touched down on runway 34R at 14:30. After a lengthy nine-minute taxy we parked at gate B6.
