Following engine start and a brief taxi to the runway 07 threshold the pilot advanced the throttle and off we went. We lifted off the runway at a speed of little over 60 knots and proceeded straight ahead before turning left just short of Etten-Leur. After flying downwind for a while past Hoeven we headed for Roosendaal towards the A17 motorway and the tv tower at an altitude of 1400 feet. At 19.35 we were over the Kroeven district. We then flew several circles over the Kroeven and Tolberg districts, offering a briliant view of the Pres. Kennedylaan and surroundings. After some additional circles over the television tower we headed back for Seppe airfield. Back on course the pilot asked me to take over the controls — awesome !! — and told me to make a left hand turn, followed by another left hand turn further on to allow the plane to pass between the small town of Rucphen and a camping site (for noise abatement). Following a downwind leg we turned right for base leg. At that moment the pilot professionaly called out ‘my controls’ because he saw another plane straight ahead on a straight in approach. We turned left to lengthen the downwind leg before turning for base and finals. On finals he allowed me to ‘feel’ the landing and let me ‘help’ him pull the controls for touchdown on runway 07.
